Alberta Tactical...

When we get customer requests for custom built long range rifles we often send them to Rick at ATR...go figure I send people to a competing retail business (we don't do gun smithing or building) because Rick has such a good reputation as a gun builder and reputable businessman. If I was to to personally have a custom long range gun built ATR would be my first choice. Phil.

That is a very strong endorsement.

Phil That is a tremendous compliment.
Thank you!!

Good post Dean 2, speaking as a very satisfied customer and close friend of Rick T., I appreciate your opinion.
Thank-you very much.... :)

Apparently the moderators disagreed since my post was eliminated. I guess crying like a baby does work.

Will re-say the important part, like 99.9% of all people you talk to who have done business with him, Rick is a great guy, does great work and I will have him do more.

Dycor does special gunsmithing service for us. Kevin is not in the business of building custom rifles from the ground up like ATR who manufacture their own parts. I would have Dycor do any gunsmithing or machine work as their work is top notch. Phil.

No kidding it is. For someone who owns another well respected business to endorse someone else in the same business really says something.
It is very refreshing to see dealers who respect each other and seem willing to work together.

You would be surprised how well the majority of LEGITIMATE FIREARMS DEALERS get along with one another. We often get together at the various trade shows to compare notes and share information (and a few drinks). This is a fairly close knit community and for the most part we respect one another and will do business back and forth. A dealer who cannot supply a product or service is much better thought of when they recommend the competion to the customer rather than either shrugging their shoulders and saying they don't know or worse lie to the customer who will soon find out what you are really about. Phil.

Just another reason that ALL my local firearms business (minus mail-order or private purchases from shows/the EE) in the last 7 years has gone to P&D. Every gun I've bought in Edmonton in the last 7 years has been from P&D and the only thing I've bought elsewhere was some powder at WSS - after finding out that P&D was out of that particular item and needing it to load for a weekend fun shoot.

I'm feeling the same way about ATRS after having my last AR15 upper (the .300 Fireball everyone seems to be buzzing about in the other two threads about it) put together by Peter in the shop.

And after meeting Rick and Peter in Calgary at a show, I got to see first hand what quality people they were.

Much like Phil and everyone at P&D. Honest, good folks all.

-M
