Winter is best as you can track them. They like to stay on well blazed trails so stand off to the side if one is coming. Those tusks will cut right thru your snow suit.
There was a guy south of Fairview who had a few and turned them loose a few years ago. There are a few near the Duncan Indian reserve near Berwyn (south). The closer you get to the Peace River, the better.
There used to be a bounty on them in Lac Ste. Anne county. Saw three just south of Calihoo, on Meridian Rd. about 3 years ago.
There are a few in the old bar in Stony Plain, especially during happy hour! Oh, wait a minute, those are cougars!!![]()
The guy who owned "Razortooth Ranch"?
just talked to the WL officer.....it seams that hunting the free running Wild Boar is ILLIGAL.....why? just because it`s the same as hunting down a free running cow.....it can be somebody`s propertyyou can have problems with RCPM after they find out that you shot "wild" wild boar.....
he told me to contact RCMP to figure out this question first and after that contact "owners" of the escaped boars)))) it`s too hard to find out if this is an escaped boar (property) or the second or even the third generation of wild running wild boars......
