All geared up (mostly) for 3-gun!

you can also use high brass number 6 if you dont have a choke for steel targets. If you have any questions let me know, i shoot 3 gun nation and uspsa multigun. I can also show you how to open ports, adjust spring tension, trigger jobs on shotguns, handguns, ar 15s, stipling, and any trouble shooting. Im probably one of the few guys on earth that has broken 2 glocks in 1 year lol.

Than he probably doesn't want your help lol

Love the wood!

The only time I had issues knocking down steel was at 50. That with #4 shot did not work for me (smoothbore 18.5" 930 SPX) I have since moved to #7.5 with better reults but absolutely chokes would make it better.

This is informative when it comes to chokes and slugs:

A norinco m 305 , m14 clone non restriceted, would put you in heavy metal division, and they can be found around $600. 10 round enfield mags that fit the m305 are available with couplers to get 2 10 round mags in 1, tradex ammo has 7.62 by 51 ammo for 73 cents a round austrian made brass ammo to your door right now.
Hi I see there is one norinco T97 on sale. Is it any good? Is iron sights only okay in 3 gun? I like the m305 it is at 600-800 mark now.

The benchmark for 3 gun is an ar15 rifle, a 12 gauge semi auto shotgun, and a 9 mm semi auto pistol. No matter what you start out with, if you stick with it , you will end up buying an ar 15. The best ar 15 on the market for the money is the palmetto state ar 15, you can find them on irunguns, they will run just as much as a t97 maybe less if you catch a deal. But if you already have something and you want to try out 3 gun, go for it . 9 mm pistol should be a glock or similar striker pistol, and a good 12 gauge shotgun is a beretta 1301 or versamax, benelli if you are a poser. Lots of good shooters use pump shotguns, hammer style pistols, however the ar 15 is the meat and potatos of 3 gun.

Ah, gotcha, don't have one.
I'll include that in my letter to santa.

Thought for a second you were ripping on the most reliable and winning-est brand of shotguns in action shooting.

Great info, thank you very much!

Take everything here with a grain of salt! For every opinion stated here there are multiple ones that are opposing. The best advice is to try before you buy and see what you like. All the best equipment in the world cannot compare to practice, practice, practice!

It also depends on how much skin you want to have in the game...
If you just want to go out and play once in a while or jyst go make noise, then it matters little what guns/gear you employ.
Those who decide to compete and be competitive will make their equipment choices based on what's best for the game, not so much on what their wives will let them spend on toys.
in the end, once yiu get involved in 3gun the cost of the guns will seem negligible compared to what you'll spend on hotels, gasoline and BBQ.

lmfao maybe some people are so fancy. Personally, I sleep in my truck and let the rain wash it, because motels and car washes are too expensive, nevermind hotels and car detailing!

Only if you knew why 667 needed to have his truck detailed.... i....stilll.... can't..... stop..... laugh...ing

Well, it wasn't really a "detail"... Just a shampoo and steam clean to the back seat.

The rain did take care of the chicken wing and beer/bourbon mural that was applied to the drivers side rear quarter...
