All-New: Type 81M

100 rds down the spout, its as accurate as the rest of my type 81s. completely reliable, as per usual - folding stock aiming discomfort is negligible, learn to work it, its a chin weld (ish) on a type 81 - perfectly serviceable, no issues.
could go for another, with a fixed stock - personally I think these rifles are surprisingly accurate and with a rugged 3x magnified optic they would slap

it's all "within spec" might blow up in you hand within spec.

TI are a good company.

Glad to see so many getting one of these and supporting TI bringing in these to the restrictive small Canadian market as opposed to being one of those left behind who secretly wish they had bought one.

TI might be a good company but they sure don't mind helping the chinese ripping off Canadians and selling them bent garbage rifles.
Wonder why no other companies want to bring these in? Do you think only TI is able to bring in imports. TI is the only company willing to cut deals with the company that has garbage manufacturing and willing to deal with the bad rap because they are able to spread the propaganda "within spec" and make money from people who don't know any better and are willing to buy them because of the limited market. i would say to TI if they don't demand straight rifles not to deal with the chinese company and to stop ripping off Canadians.

I read this entire thread from end to end. Im convinced all 60 of your posts are the continual #####ing in this thread. Get a refund and #### off already.

I’m actually kind of hoping it’s just the small area where the lapping is that is cracked and not actually all the way through as all rifles seem to have that lapped area but it is a bit difficult to tell I will keep posted what comes of it. Regardless I am not worried I know Tactical imports will help me out just waiting to see what they suggest.

If you want to see a real spectacle go on his profile and see all his posts, the dude makes a career out of coming in here and exclusively ripping on TI related sales. I haven’t seen anything else.

no i want one of these pieces of garbage, i have $1400 to throw in the garbage
I'm glad you red them i don't think you actually red them but you should you might learn something.

Do you know much about guns blowing up due to a cracked trunion ? I'd like to learn.

i don't know much, but if there is something like that that could be a weak point. the constant knocking could make the metal crack apart in time. read up on "Metal fatigue" Not sure if it is a pin they welded in and machined and sand it flat, i will have a closer look once i get this "within spec" machine

you got is buddy, when i have free time i come on here to read comments from all the suckers who spend money on a bent rifle and they tell themselves it's fine because they don't care about anything but showing it off, " look at me i have a cool gun! But why is it bent and crooked? its cool it's within spec."

So generally speaking I’ve seldom seen a single person agree with a single thing you’ve said, generally speaking you are arguing with everybody around you on this thread, when you’re not being outright spanked across multiple pages over marksmanship concepts you clearly didn’t understand.

When you’re the only one crying wolf, you ought to at least consider maybe you’re the problem? I haven’t seen you post any evidence you have or have had one of these rifles, or had any personal dealings with TI on any basis other than your alleged purchase.

I’ve owned one of each other than the SR, and I have never had a malfunction, a defect, a QC issue or any degree out of spec, nor any friends I have who’ve also owned variations. Of the few I’ve seen come back with real issues, proven issues or missing parts, TI has immediately rectified the situation and made amends.

I’m not paid by, sponsored by, or trying to gain brownie points with TI, I’m in line patiently waiting again just like everyone else.

I’ve seen every evidence to suggest this is a good rifle and TI is a great vendor to deal with, bringing us a great product at a more than reasonable price in todays economy.

I’ve seen absolutely zero evidence that you can substantiate your wild claims with anything but hearsay and blind rage.

So who’s the sucker?

I did some digging into this and all of my Type 81s have this. On my SR it has been left relatively clean indicating that its some kind of large pin or lug thats been blended in with a tool. On my Blonde side folder and LMG the pin was blended more aggressively thus kindov splawling it into this concerning looking patch. Your probably the same owner from reddit but ill post here anyways to make others aware.

So who’s the sucker?

I used to have one of the first batch of 81 side folders, idk what yhe moniker for them is, it shot fine and was reliable, but the severe mushrooming on the hammer concerned me after a few hundred rounds. The bend also bothered me. People keep talking about what a small problem it is, but to be told it's "in spec" and just have to live with the poor quality for the price sucks. I dont agree with most of what this guy says, but I do think they could hold the manufacturer to a higher standard. A visibly bent rifle in the same price range wouldn't be acceptable from any other manufacturer.
