That meme is the perfect summation of it all. I’ve just stopped replying to the trolls if not put them on ignore. I knew what I signed up for, I can’t wait, and I know if there really is an issue TI will handle it.

If someone wants to draw comparisons, go buy whatever else you like better, be happy with it. If you’re unhappy with yours to the extent of trying to take a dump on others parade, talk to TI or go sell yours, you’ll guaranteed always get your money back on the EE.

I saw the 3d printed version on ####### but like you said I don't think it will last, I have a hard time trusting 3d parts. I know 3d parts have gotten way better but I rather just have something out of metal if its an option. Still undecided on grabbing a mlok handguard, if a vertical grip can fit on it without interfering with the stock and magazine i'll be tempted. Let us know if that set up works for you. I came across a greasygus youtube video where he's trying to make a handguard lower with a built in vertical grip for the underfolder but between the stock clearance and the room it takes to insert/remove the magazine its pretty hard.

I was pretty hype before I recieve a bent rifle. I was so hype that im still waiting for my fixed 81 to arrive.

Yeah, mag clearance is the big issue. Americans cut down dongs and call them "shark fins", I think some guys have done it for dongs no their type 81s up here as well. I may have to trim the grip but I will post about it either way.

Heres a Romanian reverse dong, made for the underfolder.

The BC short grip looks much shorter so I think it should clear the butt and have enough room for mags

This is Ti thread and this comment section is perfectly appropriate to discuss defects. Nobody is telling you that you shouldnt be happy with your product, especially if you yours dont have issue. On the other hand you are the one ####ting on us for talking about our absolutely legimate issue.

This meme just summarizes ignorance of some members that "know it all" from their TikTok feed. Difference is that some members know and share knowledge and they buy and enjoy straight Type 81s, while other are coping with fairy tales from TI and listen to "experts" BS claims that for AK it's normal to have misaligned barrel. Both category are able to enjoy their rifles, but second category is rather overdose than accept the facts.

Yes like half inch. Why would I make that up? I own one, I am not just on here flapping my lips like you and others who more than likely don't own one. TI should import some knee pads for you suckers.

Not whining, just pointing out the problems with the rifles and the company selling them. It's amazing you and others are on here attacking those who have issues with their purchases (regardless how irrelevant YOU think they are), all the while adding ABSOLUTELY Nothing useful to this group. I didn't come here for your commentary, it's means less than the dog crap I pick up in my yard. Just sharing my experience like others

Things get proportionally wonky on the Type 81 especially due to the streched out receiver. I briefly looked into designing a AKMSU styled lower handguard... but the space around the handguard screw is simply not there.

I will post the link below, in case it gets yanked, but YouTuber GreasyGus' is making a Type 81 reverse dong lower handguard.
 
Yes ive been following his work and very entertaining videos haha. The problem with AKMSU style is figuring out how to incorporate the handguard screw efficiently (rn it would require 4 seperate CNC operations or i guess one 4th axis mill op) I may revisit in the future as i think it looks much nicer then dongs lol

If you go on anything current with the younger crowd like Reddit or Discord threads TI is getting dragged hard. Nobody is defending them on those platforms.

This shipment has definitely hurt them.

Got my UF today, stock is nice and straight, locks up firm and tight. Barrel is ever so slightly bent to the right, well within spec. I didn't measure the deviation, but by looking down the barrel I can see the rear trunnion hole is slightly off center. Not planning to scope it and it doesn't bother me at all when shouldering it, sight picture is totally fine. Slant brake and sling were included. Wood doesn't looks so awful in reality compared to photos, so I'll probably get to it at some point but it's not a priority. Now need to paracord-wrap the stock and mod AK bakelite grip to fit the rifle.
