All-New: Type 81M

Oh no! your stock is canted ever so slightly to the right! Whatever shall you do? Oh the humanity!!

Whatever you do, DON'T get professionally fitted for a shotgun. Because professionally fitted guns will literally have the stocks intentionally canted left or right to fit the individual shooter LMAO

cough cough copium cough cough

Received mine and brought it out last week. Barrel looked like #### out of the box and the dark black coating started peeling off while firing. Sent an e-mail to TI and they told me it was residue from the rust inhibitor and to just brush it off. Not sure if this is actually an issue? So this is just another problem to add to the list of issues to look out for for guys https://imgur.com/a/XdbCa7W

TI really does any and everything to avoid taking any responsibility for the condition these rifles are shipped in. The things are bent, have the finish on my barrel peeling off and they just say stuff like "did you rub acetone or rust remover on it?" or "that's within spec, just bend it" why would I do that on a BRAND NEW rifle? Just straight up gas lighting customers into thinking we are the problem and not the product. Is it really that hard for them to open a claim and look at a rifle?

You swing and point a shotgun , you aim a rifle. That's why shotguns are sometimes canted while being fitted to you to allow a better alignment of the mid and front bead. Now stop the copium and accepting a poor product.

You don't see f class shooters with canted stocks my guy

100%. Bs specs and bs excuses. Yet they have some dedicated knob polishers defending it all. Amazing

Ouff yours is really bad. Beside my bent barrel I had a little of this, but I was able to remove it using a 4/0 steel wool and a bit of elbow grease. Its still made the barrel slightly brighter where I scrub but its much better. I would advise to not shoot it before remove it. Otherwise it might cook and leave a imprint when you remove it.

Maybe if he is a lefty in this case, wich is unlikely lol.

quality control on these looks like crap.but it's nice to see the price gougers who bought them to flip.now are stuck with them, and with all this crap coming they'll have a hard time unloading them, but it's to bad for all those who had been waiting to buy one at the regular price, hopefully the importer will get things fixed up.

Out of curiosity how long of a wait did any of you who bought a new t81m wait from time of payment to when they actually shipped it out? I’m asking because I placed and order for some master mount parts that were all in stock. They took the payment from my visa then it was 4 days and I still didn’t get a shipment notice so I emailed them asking when it was getting shipped out. Their reply was
No shipping information for a while.

Due to massive volumes on the new Type 81M rifles, I am not giving anyone a time frame at this point.

Our team, the largest we have ever had, is working overtime to get the thousands of rifles out.

We will send you updates when processing and send tracking once your order has shipped out.

That was nine days ago… I get that they did have an influx of orders to fulfill cause of all the rifles but 2 weeks and my items which were in stock still haven’t shipped. Unacceptable if you ask me. This is my first time dealing with TI and I’m not impressed.. and reading all the issues guys are having with their 81m’s and the BS excuses they are giving them isn’t helping their case.

Would you like to be escorted to the front of the line?

Bruh, that stock is so barely canted that 99% of people won't notice. Hell I had to look extremely closely at your images to even notice a tiny teeny bit of bend. Literally less than 1mm. Like holy #### man you guys are making mountains out of molehills.

You can buy pristine chinese surplus sks made litterally decades ago and the vendor will disclose that some of them may present storage marks. But when it come to new production 81, bent barrel, crook stocks and harden rust inhibitor its all acceptable and consider within spec. It doesnt need to be disclose or mention and we apparently have no right to complain.

When you consider that we are in a hobby where the tooling are often made to work in thousand of an inches, where people spent thousands on parts just to shave a fraction of moa on their rifle, and now you expect those same people to ignore stock crook by 1/4 and barrel off by 3.99mm and less. Incredible.
