All-New: Type 81M

It’s actually quite common not to be charged until shipping. Them preauthing your card and fully processing your payment are separate things.

Sure thing. Oh yes, amazon does it. You never see a pre auth.

How much are you guys spending on cc per month? I must be missing something. My cc bill is usually $5K and up, a few years ago it was $20K/month.

April 11th email inquiry about status. told they are working on March 12-15 orders.
Today....pacing !
lets goooooooooooooo baby

I don't understand why people want to cancel their order just because it takes a bit longer. TI is fine, just going through some hick ups. If you can't afford it just don't order, no judgement. I have been in tight spots myself before, more spending doesn't solve it, more working does. I have no debt right now and intend to leave it like that.

Cheers.

You guys are funny. #####ing about waiting on your gun when you probably will go once to the range, fire it, clean it and forget it in the safe.

For starters, youre basically saying “because you won’t use it like I would, you don’t deserve to have expectations”. Aren’t you?

It’s not just wait time people are upset about. It’s missing/incorrectly packed orders, cosmetic damage/dents/scrapes, “bent” guns that are useless with an optic, lack of updates/comms from TI unless you reach out first etc.

Not to mention guys who ordered over a month ago still waiting to ship while people who ordered way later (by order number) are already at the gun range.

Just speaking from outside observation here, but do you have an order yourself? Because when you say “people are upset” I see your thoughts raised on just about every matter here, but I haven’t seen you post any order info or reviews on an order received? I’ve seen your twice failed thread attempting to catalog some mythological mass casualty event about “bent rifles” but I haven’t seen any evidence to suggest you have first hand experience in the case? Or that there’s this mass group of revolting buyers facing oppression?

To your point, people have a right to their own expectations, but in that they are expecting something, what is it you are expecting? Other than to stir the pot?

Agreed, ordered March 15 and still hasn’t been shipped out, which would be alright if it said anywhere that there would be longer than usual wait times but I believe the email I got from TI said in stock and ready to ship. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect an in stock item to be shipped with in a reasonable amount of time, and I’d say over a month is not reasonable with no notice or update. And not replying to customers emails in the same amount of time or having to call multiple times over days to finally maybe get a hold of someone who tells you your order will be shipped in a few days, but 2 weeks later nothing, is just bad service. Had I not previously ordered with TI and received awesome service in the past or been a member of this forum, I would probably start worrying I got scammed due to the lack of communication and prolonged wait times. But being a long time customer I know TI will get my rifle out eventually and I’ll love it, I just simply think they bit of a little more than they could chew and will use it as a learning experience. As for incorrect orders and cosmetic damage, I’ll just have to see what mine look like.

April 1st Order Processing

April 3rd RCMP IWS notification of license check.

Shipping notice Friday April 12th.

Arrived today, April 17th.

VERY happy with my T81M under folder from Tactical Imports.

Initial impressions, it's heavy, I actually like the colour, the bolt cycles gritty (like any new ak'ish rifle I assume until it's been fired a bunch), appears straight & while there is a slight difference side to side in how the under folder lays up against the front hand guard, it doesn't bother me. There is a little play in the stock when folded out & a bit more when it is folded, again it doesn't bother me. Oh, and the pistol grip was a little loose so I tightened it.

I would give this purchase a solid AWESOME in my books!

Thank you TI!!! Off to the range Saturday, WhooHoo!!!

Thank-you for your review, and the business! :)

My underfolder ordered late on March 15 arrived to the post office yesterday and I picked it up this morning. Appears to be nice and straight, all accessories shipped with the rifle. Truthfully everything looks great. My first T81 and first time dealing with TI. I am very happy with the rifle and the entire transaction. Big thanks to TI for bringing these in!

Thank-you for your order! :)

It’s a forum, people discuss and voice opinions, that’s a huge part of what CGN is and that is what I expect.

I am not accountable to you but will gladly publicly say: I support the (popular) argument that TI’s service is generally poor compared to other firearm vendors, based on personal experience, experience of others I know, and experience of others on the forum.

If you have further personal questions or if there is any beef go ahead and PM me and we’ll get it all squared away. If you care enough to call me out here you may as well, right? Otherwise we may as well continue the discussion

Our team works very hard to ensure all emails and phone calls are replied to, however there may be a number of reasons responses may not be coming through:
-Email is an apple based email (@me, icloud, etc.) -for whatever reason these simply do not go through at all
-Typo in email: ie gmail.con
-Emails going to junkmail
-We return call but voicemail is not set up or voicemail is full

Received my order in less than one week. How? I just place an order for the plain Jane rifle, then another order for the rest. I don't combine, cost $20 more in shipping but wayyyy faster.

Reasons for order delays:
-Missing or incomplete PAL info or DOB
-PAL address mismatch with shipping address
-Changes to orders
-Delayed payment
-Delays in RCMP providing transfer reference number
-Order was shipped, but Canada Post never scanned label in (we don't update until scan-in) Sometimes scan-in doesn't happen until after delivery

We had also discovered some instances of orders with internal label issues and misc orders that fell by the wayside (ie sent label package to warehouse, but never sent out) but these have been identified and are being cleared up this week, thank-you for your patience!
