All-New: Type 81M

274XX ordered March 12, shipping notice March 24. No RCMP verification or transfer notice received (first time I’ve bough new in awhile and didn’t think I would get a verification email). Thanks to all for some of the good ideas for the underfolder. It will be a good spring at the range.

Second, I bought one of those single piece side mounts that were being sold on Ebay and ####### recently, which fortunately works with the under folder, and electrical tape will be perfect since I can't fit much else between the side mount and the under folder's arm.

I wonder if popsicle sticks along with the wrapped electrical tape would be a nice combo for securing the clenaing kit? Would still be thin enough for my purposes. Lol now you've got me excited to do a little arts and crafts with my under folder!

I'm glad that this seems doe-able.
Would you be able to gove me a bit more info on this e-bay side mount that you have bought?

One of the reasons I threw it out there is the fact, that there are lot of very handy and skilled people on this forum, whom might be able to figure out some means of attaching the cleaning kit to the wire stock by either machining (or possibly 3-D printing) some sort of a jig or a clamp, which would secure this kit to the stock without having to use the tape or parachord.

I would like to start some sort of a brainstorming session on this, since there is a good possibility that there are already suitable products to accomplish this task freely available at just about every hardware store across the country with either little or no modification at all...
I just haven't thought of them yet.

If there was some kind of a lever clamp (not sure what the proper name would be), which would mimic the way the cheek riser attaches to the T81 SR, that would be ideal...but I'm pretty sure our collective brains can do even better?

Just checked the PO Box and sure enough the pair of rifles are here, TI website still shows processing
 
they are behind on sending out the tracking email bcos my guns were shipped two days before i got the tracking email yesterday 3pm. Im 271xx.
