All-New: Type 81M

There's been like 3 photos of canted stocks, and 2 of possible non-aligned barrels (all within spec) from thousands of orders, where are you pulling the 50% or greater number from?

I suggest you read through this thread again and join other pages. Every single day there is a picture or post about someone else receiving a rifle that it not aligned properly, not to mention the original imports in which a few on here have already stated that they are almost all bent and that they have simply accepted it. Sorry but anyone claiming a rifle with a bend to it ( don't give F what is causing it) is in "SPEC" is nothing more than a salesman trying to push a product. Making up "spec" in an effort to CYA does not count.

Mine shows "In transit" in Calgary, AB since Mar 14 (destination is Ontario).
Where I'm located in ON, normally CP will deliver 2-3 business days after I see "In transit" in Calgary, AB.
Expected delivery was Mar 22.
Order 268xx as well.

Damn. Sounds like it's going on with more than just me thats good to know it's not a one off thing happening. I'm wondering if they're just sending so much volume it's caused some sort of delay.

I Ordered a firearm 3 hours from my house and it took 7 days for Canada post to deliver it to my door, received last Wednesday. Not from TI (still waiting on the T81) but another dealer on here. Ill be shopping more local after dealing with CP. Weird how car parts ship faster then firearms thru them..... Don't take my word for it though, I'm new on here with no feed back score, apparently that means a lot on here to some.....

I mean, lots of pictures of rifles with issues popping up daily, less pictures of rifles without issues. Not sure how a valid problem is considered blowing it out of proportion or being a whiner.

Don't waste your time with this guy if you read his comments most are like a child no expiation not logic probably just some buy with nothing to do all day.
I'm concerned as well because it seems that a lot of rifles have problems. A lot of reports and I'm also assuming there are a lot of people not even aware these rifles are bent. It could be a manufacturing issue and assembled incorrectly, holes drilled misaligned etc. Then you have some on here with slogans like "oh you just don't know type 81 that's how they are" or they are "within spec" or whatever. i suspect they probably work for the company and are just on here to muddy the waters. Not every gun owner comes on this forum not every gun owner is familiar with these rifles being bent. It is not a normal problem with rifles and it doesn't occur with other rifles. A bent rifle is absolute garbage regardless how cool it looks and it's reliable. I heard about bent type 81 but I thought the importers would be firm and instruct the manufacturer that if the shipment is bent they are sent back. I'm suspecting the importer just doesn't care because they are making a killing and there are enough suckers that will take anything just to look cool.

Sometimes when I view this thread I wonder what the average Poly spy thinks, who’s just infiltrated CGN to get the scoop on what the latest terrifying machinations of war we’re talking about, and they stumble in here only to be infinitely tantalized by the onslaught of strange 5 digit code speak and combo racial/homo slurs, and why grown men are suddenly worried about 2mm increments.

Anyways must be a spectacle from the outside looking in.

Like windtalkers all over again... but we are just complaining to each other..

na ill tell youwhat they are thinking.

These gum people are so stupid buying crooked guns where the barrel is a quarter inch to the right or left. And this has been going on since 2017 and almost 7 years later the Chinese are still ripping Canadians off lol, "they so stupid lol"

I plan on doing a comprehensive review with lots of pics on my underfolder and comparing it with underfolders from different countries (AKs) is there anything anyone wants me to compare in particular? Any dimensions people want, pics of certain angles, see if certain accessories fit, etc

My buddy works for CP and says that nobody really cares about the customer (workers and management) and they just do whatever they want, making breaks longer or just skipping them and going home early.

It's beyond frustrating. I'm sure Canpar, UPS or Purolator could deliver firearms for a reasonable price and give a customer a choice besides these goofs.

I’m glad you made an account seemingly just to complain about imaginary TI related issues. What’s your order number? Let’s talk about your stress, you seem especially angry.

I figured some actual data would be a welcomed change of pace from the standard made up BS from non owners that is 99% of this thread. Got the 81M out to the range today, very pleased with the results. Groups with a red circle around them are from a type 81 SE folder, groups with yellow are from the Type 81M. Groups were shot at 30 M, using Chinese surplus ammo (corrosive). Overall I'd say they were about the same all things considered. My type 81 SE has a thinner front sight post (aftermarket) so it had a slight edge in that regard, but the 81Ms longer sight radius compensated for this nicely. I think the M with a thinner front sight post would have been able to squeeze a bit more out of it. I think these are solid 3-4 MOA guns, perfectly reasonable accuracy for what they are, and better than what most people can shoot. 100% reliable that part basically goes without saying. Great purchase, my ideal changes would be a pencil barrel (may as well, not like a heavier barrel makes these more accurate) thinner front sight from factory, SA or SE style handguard (still not a huge fan of this flat bottom one) and the old style folder (one of the best folding stock designs ever made including by first world countries).

TL DR: 3-4 MOA gun, 100% reliable, Spend more time shooting guns than measuring them.

Some of us are trying to get a T81... delay after delay, incorrect tracking, etc. This is what we paid $35 + HST for. I'd also like to say that some seem to have legit beefs, whether you think they're blowing things out of proportion or not. But, I'm sure T.I will take care of them.

So far you've been lucky to get yours. Hopefully that's me pretty soon. Lots of write-ups in the Red Rifles section already.

#27### still waiting for mine, opted for that handguard. Lets see if it was worth the wait or if my gut was right with just doing things myself with Mr zhukov.

Why have the groups shifted? were you aiming at different spots? were you adjusting the sites? for those of you who don't shoot only measure. 1 example, upper quadrants are below the x lower left above.
