All-New: Type 81M

Received my underfolder today.

Looking like there's a few issues.

1- the folder is off center a little bit. Not as bad as the other dude who posted his. Mine is pretty straight along the receiver and then goes off centered over the grip. Not a huge deal and could likely be bent to be centered.

2- the chamber is pretty gnarly looking. Please correct me if I'm wrong but every rifle I've ever had has been smooth and even. This one is wonky and has extra material left. A bullet would not sit fully seated.

3- the barrel does appear to be off centered. I can notice it with the naked eye but this string test confirmed it. Rifle was leveled in my tripod and the string is fed through the rear peep and tied to the front post. My phone was also leveled for taking the pic.

4- some light wear marks on the finish but these don't bother me as they would have inevitably came with use. Didn't bother taking pics. Might bother others.

I'll be sending TI pictures and asking for a refund myself.

That chamber is totally f***

So can someone tell me why one would be so interested in such a cheaply made stamped steel firearm for over $1000.00 that seems to be absolute garbage?......:(

I don't get the attraction, is it because it looks like a AK-47 that no one can own?

Someone, anyone?.......:)

And yes I'm being serious. These military grade guns look cool indeed, but also appear to be total crap!....:(

So again, why??????

Well first, these aren’t military models
Second, because t81 rifles always go bang and are among the most reliable rifles ever produced.
3, many of us have cheap surplus and don’t want $4000 brens to shoot it and nothing else is on the market except an sks that can shoot it reliably (maybe that wk181 we shall see)
4, many of us don’t care about some janky looks vs performance (no wife or girlfriend comments necessary)

5, The gun is cheaper than anything else and not made for safe queen hoarders

They are quite reliable, mag fed, semi auto 7.62x39. Decently priced as well considering how bad our dollar is (they would be less that $900 usd, roughly the same cost as a decent starter AK). If you want to see absolute garbage look at some of the NR North American made rifles that have been popping up over the past few years

Ah bro don't be a complainer it's fine, it's only supposed to hold an explosion send the projectile out. QC is not important here, if you loose an eye it's ok you got two and if you loose a few fingers what's the big deal you got 10 you can spare a few. Plus there are a few geniuses on this post that don't mind a bent gun or whatever condition it is in you can trade them.
