All-New: Type 81M

Just because you get the Tracking from CP... doesn't mean you'll get it by their delivery date. After 5pm here and no package, no "pickup at PO slip", no update since Kitchener (about 250km away).

Not T.I's fault, but just to warn you.

Doesn't Expedited carry a Guaranteed Delivery Date?

Thank you guys for the explanations. They all make sense now.

I always wondered why someone just didn't buy a SKS to shoot 7.62X39 ammunition.

They do have a cool look indeed, just a lot of stamped steel. Beauty is definitely in the eyes of the beholder.

Thanks again!.....:)

I own many, they are the ones i shoot most

Doesn't Expedited carry a Guaranteed Delivery Date?

A parcel shipped by Canada Post and with Expedited shipping is supposed to come with a guaranteed ship date. But we are dealing with a Trudeau Corporation who's employees are not too bright. CP harbor's a lot of Liberal gun haters that will deliberately damage, steal or even hide a parcel if they know it contains a firearm. Ask me how I know?...:(

I have been shipping Canada Post now for over forty years, it goes okay most of the time, other times are a nightmare. I recently had a Expedited Parcel go missing for 30 days. One snotty female CP representative called me and advised they were calling it lost and stated we needed to apply for the insurance payout. Now this sounds relatively simple but CP does not like to pay out on any insured parcels, no matter what the package may have contained. I escalated her bullsh1t to a supervisory level and spoke with a very nice fellow named Charlie in Winnipeg. I am certain I never would have received my gun parts it it wasn't for his help and the good customer service I received from him.

My point is, Expedited delivery dates do not mean squat, if CP doesn't meet the delivery date they originally quoted you, they just change the date! LOL....:(

I have in fact gotten my postage fees back several times in the last 4-5 years. In saying that, it's normally a fight, even when you are in the right. Again, a Trudeau Corporation.....:(

Same here, looks like every other T81 chamber which is why I asked earlier

I just checked mine and my daughter’s T81.

Both rifles are nearly perfect, both rifles have chambers that look EXACTLY like that.

Is it the cut for the extractor claw that is making people think the chamber isn’t cut correctly?

My wife often playfully accuses me of not being able to find things right in my face, but this has me befuddled.

Sender has to initiate the claim for a late parcel. Doubt the vendor will do it, might be a lot in the same boat. CP shouldn't put guaranteed delivery dates if they can't meet them. Email and Text updates that are never sent?

I paid $35 + tax for them not to meet their guaranteed delivery date???

That is correct, the sender has to initiate the claim regarding insurance costs or asking for the shipping cost back.

Most retail businesses get a reduced charge rate for shipping, especially if they ship huge volumes. And no I'm not talking about the small business account a lot of us have in order to ship firearms.

Paying extra money to a vendor ( actual brick & mortar business), doesn't always guarantee your quoted expedited delivery date.

That can be a crap-shoot. It's doubtful that an actual vendor is going to give you your shipping costs back if the promised date does not come to fruition......:(

I understand that... but they could offer other Shipping options other than CP. It's been a really long time since UPS missed a delivery date, CP seems to do it 25% of the time.

Ups is probably twice the price $.. I know don,nt say it, twice the reliability.. Canada post is pretty good.. all in all.
