Got this rifle in 358Win finished last year. Bevan King did the fine work on the 22" bbl and another friend did the action work and bedding the McMillan. Weighs 7lbs 4oz as shown with FXII 4x. I'm quite pleased with it and good thing as Johnn Peterson recently talked me out of my 357CT so this rifle will nicely fill the the med bore gap in my safe. :)

Has shot very nice groups with 200 and 250 gr Hornadys. Still need to do some work on 250gr Speers and some 200gr TTSXs I have on the heap. Very flexible chambering for this part of the world for both deer and moose.

Judging by the threads in front of the ocular lens.........yer tern'n
into an ole cuss, ain't'cha?

Me lawrd, that is sure a pretty gal.
Great to see custom gun work at 100%.
Put me on the list Mr. P.........................

Beautiful. Sometimes the 3/4" length savings in a short action just looks ideal. Like the fluted bolt too. 358Win is on the list of "one day" calibers.

Ahh, a modern custom rifle equipped with a classic scope and the original QD ring, or at least the oldest American top mount QD rings! The blend of old and new works very well, nicely thought out and executed SC.

I wanted the QD option on this one in case I ever go on a pretend safari and need a back-up up scope to fend off pretend nasty critters in a pinch. :)

I'm trying out these new style Weaver rings and am liking them over the original design. Four screws on top strap instead of the old two screw and hook set-up. Easier to set up and seem to pinch the scope tube less. Added Fudd factor too.

Well it only took em 70 years or so to figure out that 4 screw rings might be easier to use than 2 screw rings, but better late than never.

Nice looking gun.
Congrats.
My last 358 was a Win model 88 lever back in the late 70s, early 80s.
Had to sell it to keep the roof over our heads between jobs after Turdo Sr threw a wrench into the economy.
The 358 really flattens the moose.

Nice rig Paul, I could hunt that one easily enough! Should be a great rifle for timber hunting and should give a definite blood trail which is always desirable!
