Just got my Baikal today... nice gun, I have handled a few before but never a 24", I was pleasantly surprised to see that the 24" model has a parker like finish on the bbl, or at least a matte black finish.
The gun will be even sweeter when I chop a half inch from the stock... man I wish we had a decent gun shop around here... I need a new pad for the modification.
Anyway, I guess it wasn't quite a straight trade, Epps credited me enough to get an extra choke tube and $25 shipping, so I guess, I am about $60 ahead.
A dealer has to make something on a trade... So I figure I lost about $100-$200.
Had I bought a new Baikal it would have been about the same, but then I would have to run 3-4 boxes of heavy #### through it for a break in.
