Ambidextrous Shotgun Shooting

Are you shooting standard clay games at a club or using a field thrower?

The left handed is just a field thrower. I wouldn't want to go left handed at a club unless I would be as good as my right hand.

I doubt that! Unless you think 80% is good:D

If I went through life thinking that just because something wasn't common or easy or maybe even practical I think my life would be boring as hell.

Shooting well often means doing enough conscious practice so that when shooting, your move to the target is subconscious. When you decide to go to the off hand side your conscious mind gets involved. A practiced subconscious will put the gun on target many times quicker and many times more accurate than the conscious mind.

I now shoot right handed without thinking and without actually "aiming". I'm guessing that is what you mean by subconscious aiming. I didn't start that way, but I do it now. I would assume that if I wanted to I could get there left handed as well.

My comment was not anything to do with life or common or easy things. I was just doubting your statement that "Maybe I'm just good". :D

As far as shooting off the other side, I did it off and on for two years while I was waiting for rotator surgery. I am not Amdidextrous but it really is not big deal to be able to hit most targets from my off shoulder. Now that my shooting side is fixed I would think of it as being a waste of ammo to practice it any further. I will practice more challenging targets and continue with the easy ones so that they remain easy under all conditions. If my life ever gets boring as hell I can think of better things to make my shooting better, and certainly other things to make my life less boring.
