Hi all,
I am wondering if any of you have used the American Eagle 150gr FMJ .308 in your bolt hunting rifles?
I have emailed federal to ask if this is 7.62x51mm NATO spec.
I ask because I have been warned aganist using 7.62x51NATO spec ammo in .308 Win bolt rifles due to pressure issues and shoulder dimensions.
However SAAMI does not warn against this on their site, as they do with interchanging .223 and 5.56x45 www.saami.org/Unsafe_Combinations.cfm
I do remember once firing RSA milsurps in a Sako Forrester and getting a stiff bolt lift...
Any insights?
Thanks
