Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the rifle scene, and just picked up a Remington 700 cahambered in .308 WIN. I've been looking at the ammo available in this caliber, and have noticed that there are quite a few different bullet weights available, from a 140 grain, all the way to over 185 grain. So my question is this: How do I know which bullet weight to choose? I will be using my rifle primarily for target shooting, so will different weights be suited for different ranges? Or do I simply try them all until I feel relatively comfortable and pleased with one weight? Any advice to help me understand how to choose the proper ammo would be greatly appreciated.
