If you put a GM barrel DO NOT use stingers. GM"s have a Bentz chamber and with stingers having the longer case can be dangerous to shoot. Seriously, change your extractor and use HiV stuff - you'll be pleasently surprised.

Like I said,, I've gotten a trigger job done and it's between 2.0- 2.5 lbs
( i swear it bursts every once in awhile)

I'm going to put a Green Mountain target barrel on it, now I've heard that these have tight NM chambers SO YOUR advice on changing the exctractor is a great idea, wasn't planning to do it.

Also putting a hogue overmold stock and going to throw in a Harris bipod.


Hoping to get a tack driver out of this baby.

BTW Tim said that all ammo prices will be going up again about 15% soon,
( nothing like a good war to cause shortages and price increases)SO stock up.

The US military is using .22LR in Iraq now? The war in Iraq used as a reason to increase ammo prices is sounding suspiciously similar to the reasons given for the fuel prices that we are seeing. Although I don't doubt that demand for 5.56 and 7.62 ammo has increased exponentially.

Actually what is happening is that many ammo manufacturers are shifting production and retooling to fulfill military contracts.

Hey the Isrealis use Ruger 10/22's with heavy barrels as sniper rifles ( pictures on net somewhere)

Apparently .22 cal is very effective as non lethal crowd control, when limbs are targetted.
