Picked up 2000 rounds of 9mm from wolverine delivered to Ontario, no issues, had 3600 rounds sent in from Calgary Shooting Centre, bulk order of 10,000 rounds to be run next week. The word on the street is the Americans are buying up all stock that the Canadians can produce, which leaves us on the bottom of the list because they are willing to pay premiums!! It is out there just need to be persistent in your search. Good luck!

lol, and that is how we get crap like this in the first place.

And what is this Canada "stock" we are producing that the 'Mericans are buying?

you confrim what has been said you need to search all over the country and be persistent just to find the amo you want to shoot. it used to be you could head to your local supplier and find it. not any more

Lots of Canadian companys have also said no thanks to us customers as they don't want to deal with the border again to send it back so they say no.

Manfactures of ammo are behind on production demand has shot way up it will return to normal sooner or latter.

so at the last two gun shows, and last three gun shops in AB signs up limiting guys to ammo purchases. I don't understand the business model as I would sell to whomever brought the funds, but they are now rationing. If there were no ammo shortage there would be no rationing, period. No tin foil hat here, just calling it as it is.

Now this, I believe, because demand has to be epic. Word on the street, is that 9/11 was an inside job, the moon landing was faked, DHS is building concentration camps, and aliens are capturing drunk rednecks and sodomizing them on a regular basis.
Everybody is capturing drunk rednecks and sodomizing them, like shooting fish in a barrel but they like it!

Yea but as said before, if you have no ammo to sell, who is gonna buy your guns/ gun gear? Nobody, without ammo a gun is just a lousy anchor! Our gun shops here in Canada must be working 24/7 to secure new/ different sources of ammo, because without that their business will fail!

Once the majority of the hoarding Americans realize their credit card and storage space is maxed out there will be lots of cheap ammo till factory can slow down production; good news for those that stocked up.

ah but it has also been said before that there is no ammo shortage in Canada as it can be sourced with a little effort, so anyone buying a gun can surely find ammo. If you don't believe this, then one must be wearing a tin foil hat!

I have been slowly adding .22lr bulk to my storage, actually mostly all I have in storage is .22lr. That said I have put away 12,000 rounds this winter of .22lr.

I am slowly casting and loading my way to a stash of 1200 12ga slugs; I am working with free hulls and free lead which helps a LOT.

Right now my 12ga and my .22 are my priorities. I don't have a "main battle rifle" yet so I don't stock anything in the 5.56/7.62x39/7.62x51 range.

I do shoot a little less since there isn't much supply locally. I do get out at least once a month though.

I do look forward to bulk ammo coming back on the market, at an affordable price that is.

I must be lurking in the wrong thread. If I drive to nearby Bonnyville, Sylvester's has bulk 22 ammo, if I drive to Northern Light's gas station I can find 22 bulk ammo, (I was there just this afternoon) and the Cold Lake CT has a generous amount of 22 ammo. I suspect if I went to the Iron River General Store I could get 22 ammo also.
I see no problem in my neck of the woods fellas. Maybe the right powder is a bit harder too find, that's about it.

I went to the Coop Agro Centre across the street on Friday and there was tonnes of Remington .22lr in bulk. Only problem is that they were hosing people almost $40 per brick. Ammo prices there are ludicrous.

I think you might have misunderstood me or I wasn't clear, (my wife tells me that all the time) I agree there is no real shortage as any thing I have looked for I have found ,,at least as easily as I have before. I believe the manufacturers of ammo are quite quick to ramp up, more so than gun manufacturers and our shops are likely putting pressure on the regular suppliers and seeking out new ones to ensure the supply of ammo to Canadian gun owners/ buyers! I think we will be fine, although I have been slowly building my ammo inventory up to what I wanted it to be anyway! This was just an eye opener for some of us as to what could happen at any time!
I also think that anyone jacking up the price of ammo should be boycotted as there are plenty of suppliers around not doing this. Let their overpriced ammo rot on their shelves!

Except they're not done hoarding, they're just out of ammo to purchase. It's gonna be a while before they're done shopping I think.
