Amp annealer review "picture heavy"

I wish I had bought one when our dollar was worth $1.30 US !!!!

Edit: I wish I would have bought a lot of stuff especially more US dollars!

Any reason you have to use a shell holder? Would using your fingers work? Case head shouldn't t heat up at all if it's that fast?
Neat gadget. Would love something similar for a Dillon 650 press that anneals, trims, removes crimp, uniforms prime pockets and debur flash holes, all in one tool head....thousands of brass per hr lol. All for under 1k.....a guy can dream anyway.

It is not so much that the case head heats up, In order to obtain very precise annealing the case has to be held in the same spot every time. This is the reason for the shell holder. I had a bench source, a good machine but not in the same league as the AMP. I am very happy i switched to the AMP.

When you find one let me know, I need one as well.

Is this thing ever slick! I really don't have enough empty cases right now to load up, but I did want to try this out. So I tumbled the 46 cases I had waiting and started in. This thing is dope! I did the first 22 Lapua .223 cases in under 2 minutes. I need some practice removing the cases from the holder though....I suffered a burned finger when it got too close to the top of one of the cases. Oh well, live and learn.

If you have the means, I highly recommend one. It looks like I will have a few customers of my own now.

Edit: Thanks Ryan for posting the review and getting me off the fence.

Just thought I would update everyone. I sent in my brass sample about 2 weeks ago and the sent me an nice email with the results already. I thought I that is pretty good considering at the post office they said 10 days to 3 weeks shipping time.

Thanks Ryan

I also got my .223 & .308 samples back from them. They recommended no changes to their program. I'll send in my .338 when it gets warmer and I can load test.

I noticed that they no longer come with pilots when you order from the website. That means another $60 USD.

Watched the mfr video, nice unit, albeit expensive.

Surprise it doesn't have an auto feeder. Probably in version 2. Nice to feed from a Dillion/HDY case feeder

PS. Need to finish my homebuilt one from EBAY parts, cost about $300CDN. Takes about 7.5s for FC 308 using 600w PS, should be proportionally faster with 1000w PS.
