An Embarrassment of Riches

The pic has some dark and twisty underlying themes, all demonstrating the power that the letter "N" has on the photographer. In the pic, there's a:

Norinco
Nokia
kNife,
Nickle,
bank-Notes and
Napthalene (in the lighter).

Its very well done! Encore! Encore!

Personally, I enjoyed your pic... can you do one with a Norc Tokarev? What would you put in that pic?

A bus pass, an old digital calculator watch (or maybe one with PacMan or Frogger), some Rolaids/Tums, a bottle of Laker (or other discount) beer, a wrinkled condom wrapper and maybe a Burger King wrapper?

Don't forget the mickie bottle of 'no-name' vodka next to a dirty shot glass with a pic of a 1/2 nakid Asian chick on it... :p

I like the way the clock complements the pic.

I see a "P" theme

Pistol
Postage stamps
Pennies & nickles
Pocket knife
Pretend bank notes
Petroleum based portable flame generator
Pushbutton cellular telecommunications device
Particulate croisant residue

Now thats what I call grasping at straws!

OK guys here is my simple yet, I believe, pithy still-life remark on the Norinco Tokarev. By the way, next to the knife, Slavex, is a Clipper lighter I picked up in London. Yes, I know, I pick up only the best kit on my travels.

Perhaps the theme of this picture has more to do with the power of Blackness as in the finely scalloped grips of the Tokarev and the shiny smoothness of the black Guinness tin. Or it could have some of that Black Magic aka Voodoo running through it like the way sometimes it is easy to post images and other times not ( see I used an "N" word at the end of the last sentence- see what I mean about Voodoo now_Oh my God! another "N" word at the eNd of a senteNce!) this is getting freaky and way out of control now. Who brought up the "N" coincidence first?

I even saw a picture like the one described above but in it was a shtity little .32 Seacamp pimp-pistol of no use to even a whore.

I'd take one of those "sh|tty little Seacamps" any day.

Absolutely one of the best CCW pocket pistols ever invented.

I read the title and saw the pic, strange first thing came to mind ......
those items belong to a robber with a trenchcoat .... lol ....
1911 ser#1107018 is not registered, bought from Jane & Finch :D

NICE PIC.

The Swedish Finnish girl's photo was not on the phone nor was her new number and address as if she would put them there. Lots of great looking girls over there to be sure. It seems like the Finns are more blonde than the Swedes. Young men and women actually dye their hair black just to look different. Great place. I may go back. There you can buy any firearm you like but need a special permit to have an automatic firearm. I was just going to buy a Sako 95 when I had to come back to Canada.

nice Norc Tokarev, the more I see of them the more I think about picking one up. Teapot how does the surplus 7.62x25 shoot? you many misfires. thanks

Usually people are saying a thread is USELESS WITHOUT PICS... Well, this ones got a pic.

Nice crumbs and Crappy Tire money. Are they clues to something? Was it the Butler in the Kitchen with the Frying pan?

LOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!

+1 on the Federal grant, and if you need an assistant I'll help you with the pics of the Sten, PPsH, Bren and all those other things the Gov't will let you buy with their money - after all, it's Art.

Now in this composition, we see the strong rectilinear angularities of harsh light and shadow, combined with the subtle juxtaposition of contrasts:

hard steel and soft aluminum
hot lead and cold beer (well, cellar temp I hope)
black-blued steel, black-anodized aluminum and black brew
bright light and dark shadow
communist's attempt at capitalism and capitalism's attempt at "every man" communalism (Pub House)

Teapot, you need to do a study in wood with a Norc Woodsman next......
