so your saying that M+M would refuse to sell the 18.6 barrel version to a fellow american because we are so special that we are going to get all of them?
Adding a canadian end user tax to grease the investors is B.S. and will only last so long, leaving would be buyers bitter towards their company in the end.
this is not a company i would be happy giving my money to and would not enjoy owning their product because of it. new guns are coming out every day. one just like it could be right around the corner for all we know from a company with a much better moral standing and respect for its customers.
good luck M+M.
The 18.6 doesn't appear to be another version, why would anyone in the US want an extra two and a half inches on a x39 flinger? For the performance increase? That's a joke, 99% of people will shoot nothing but surplus through their rifle and from what I've seen they are getting around 4 moa from cheap ammo, an extra 50fps from the 2 inches of barrel won't change that and won't benefit anyone but Canadians since it allows for NR status. It is a barrel offered just to us to open up a new market because they are not selling enough rifles in the US. This is what they stupidly explained in their news release which was later retracted, they were raising the price to us in order to subsidize their US sales.
On the rest of your comment I think you are right, they will lose a lot of potential sales if they jack up the price for all Canadian export rifles. That is a choice we all have, if you don't like the price they come up with then don't buy it, if you don't like the companies ethics then don't buy their rifle.
Hopefully they've been reading our comments and realize we're not willing to pay extra just to help them look good to their investors but if they give us the rifle for a fair price they will sell a lot of rifles.
After seeing the last video showing it's accuracy and how it performs dirty I definitely won't buy one if the price is higher than the pre-sale price. The rifle performs terribly dirty and 4 moa is SKS accuracy so it's nothing special, just another ok rifle made by an unknown company with no history and that has one item in their catalog.
Unfortunately there will always be people who have money to burn and no morals telling them that they shouldn't support an underhanded company and they will buy one regardless of the price.
Until there actually is a released retail price why is everyone getting so excited? For all we know the price will be $100 more than the pre-sale price which for most would be acceptable.
Please show us these comments I can't seem to find them
The really greasy ones were deleted when they realized how stupid it was to post something that said word for word that they were going to increase the price to us to subsidize low sales in the US.
858, t81, m305a are all cheaper and all lees desirable too.....
Why is this more desirable? The last video I watched on these showed that it was no more accurate than any other x39 and also showed that it does not function at all if it gets dirt inside that open receiver. The only thing this rifle has over the others is that no one here has ever touched one so all we have to go on is pictures and videos. Sure, it looks a lot more modern and tacticool but so far it actually seems to be less reliable than all the rifles you listed.
When it comes right down to it if you factor in accuracy and reliability and forget about it looking cooler the other options are more desirable to me, I value reliability over having rail space and m-lok so I can hang useless junk off of it and on a rifle that shoots a cartridge only good for 250-300 yards I don't really care if I can easily mount a scope on it, a good quality set of irons is all I really need for those ranges on a 4 moa rifle.
That brings up another point, have a good look at the M10x, the stock height is lower than the rail so just like the Swiss Arms, the APC, and a bunch of others these will not work well with sights made for an AR, you will need ultra low mounts limiting you to red dot sights or having to find a cheek riser in order to put a scope on it unless you like a chin-weld. Notice how the pics so far with an Aimpoint on it shows it right down on the rail?
This rifle should have come with a nice set of irons like the SA rifles do or a more inline stock design
