Ancaster show

I finally found Turkish Mauser :)

I have been looking for cheap, decent shape fixer upper for a while now and there it was-all for 110$.

Total mismatch on numbers but unabused ( except for really dusty storage) and complete (except for cleaning rod).

Pictures will be posted when/if I find my camera.

I also have a Turk Mauser, it came to me a little beat up but it's been a lot of fun fixing it up. Mine is also a mix master of parts, only 2 serial numbers that match are the rear sight and the reciever.

Hope you find your camera, I would love to see pics.

LOL that was YOU!!!!! too funny ya man i had enuf ...i didnt sleep at all saturday night and i hurt my foot setting up the tables ....next time say hi ..i might take the MG42 with layfette next show

Bought some 3inch mag shells for turkey hunting, and a brass trimming tool. Looked a long time at a 243 mohawk with the ugliest stock i ever saw but decided against it as the barrel looked well used.

Most of the guns i saw were at the last 2 ancaster shows and the woodstock one as well.

That's a strategy for pushing through the crowds at flea markets and such: don't shower, eat beans, watch them scatter. Plus not looking (or smelling) rich starts you in a better position when negotiating.

(Not that I think most of the gun show crowd so described are actually doing it on purpose…)

You crafty Son of a... get me the spicy beans! I'monna stink myself into some great deals

I left early packed up the vickers when the cfo nazis started walkin around ....yes i had the permit to have it there but i just didnt feel like answering thier questions ....last time didnt go well
