It was incidents like this and others within the sport that eventually led me to start IDPA Canada with a few others. I do enjoy shooting IPSC, I love a lot of the people but didn't need the headaches and drama. Now I focus my shooting on the two way ranges and dabble on the one way ranges when home on leave. If I shoot well at a match...bonus, if I suck at a match...bonus, I have fun and I and still alive. The point is to keep it in perspective, none of these sports are indicutive of whats it like out in the big bad world, have fun, its a game, a sport, nothing else.
P.S. You know how some sport shooters slag and call Airsofter's "poser's & wannabe's"... I wonder if Contractor's call sport shooters the same? its all in the perspective. No matter which sport you roll, enjoy it.

Only if you took a drink, if you restored the holster to the proper position prior to opening the beer you should be good.
Rob is the kind of person you want in your organization. If you consider the number of people he has introduced through his skills and drills nights to action shooting and they then go onto joining IPSC. Seems counter-intuitive to ban someone from competing in your sport in which he has contributed above and beyond to the promotion of the sport.
Sorry to hear about your mother Rob, going through something similar, my wife has metastatic cancer and going to the gun club is my way to forget for awhile so not being able to compete must be hard.

Thank you, Slavex, for making it clear that I have no intrest in shooting ISPC. I hate power tripping like nothing else. I despise those that take their menial portion of power, and, using a pencil or pen, dole out self gratifying punishments that puff up their obviously lacking egos while hiding behind the facade of enforcing rules. Perhaps if Daddy had told them he was proud of them when they were young, all of this could have been avoided. I swear, people small in character and confidence are attracted to jobs and posts that offer power over others, to make up for the fact that without the position, they would be treated like the weenies that they see when they look in the mirror. If they had any sense, or lacked a personal agenda, they would have asked you to refrain from such actions in the future, you could settle this with a handshake.

Well said, to often the shooting sports are their own worst enemy. I have watch slavex teach many people, he does far more for this sport than many realize, helping new shooters gain their confidence and needed skills.

If you don't get it, the whole issue has nothing to do with IPSC. It is the certain individuals who are doing it. Can happen in any organization.

As a new shooter and brand spanking new to the pistol I can now confidently say I will never see an IPSC match. I don't know rob personally but have seen what he does for this sport, his treatment on a trivial issue such as this is frankly, backhand worthy.

It was created to announce new matches getting posted, results getting posted and one idea was to let match directors use it at matches for making announcements in case competitors are not in/around shouting distance of the match director.

I was thinking of getting into ISPC
now I can say for sure heck no with the cost to do it and silly things like this were people have power trips over stubid things it's not even a saftey isuse.

So Doing something unsafe, ie something that would potentially injury someone, you get a match DQ. Insulting someone after the match, ie ruffling a few feathers--2 years of DQ HMMMMMMMMM

I agree with the above statement, I too was considering trying out IPSC but now after this immature behaviour am really debating if I still want to.
I get involved with certain activities because they are "fun" but that has gone too far.
Making a decision like that without even involving the subject of the complaint, is abuse of power and unsportsmanlike to me. You should have at least had a chance to defend yourself, before a decision was sent down.
Or at least until a board in your favor is appointed.
