... And what about a Glock 10mm full FDE...

I've read a number of the replies here from guys who've owned multiple samples of the same pistol in the same chambering. Why would you buy more than (1) and then replace it down the road, only to buy one (or more) again? What's the rationale? I highly doubt it's a situation where you're wearing them out.

I have money in the summer and buy stuff...I have no money in the winter and sell stuff...pretty simple. I guess I should save money for the winter, but then life would be a bit more boring. I'm still refining the whole process, but for the moment it works even if badly.

Pretty simple... I had a gen 3 with a standard length barrel and a gen 3 longslide I built, then I sold both and bought one gen 4 which burned when my house went up. Now I have another gen 4. Not a matter of wearing anything out, just life.

One seem to be really getting good reviews the Perfect 10 from STI, just read a bit on it... JP.

I've owned one of these as well. Very nice pistol but I'd hardly say it's worth the sticker price especially after the price increase from our weak dollar.

Can you get it in FDE?
I have a Gen 3 Glock 20 and I like it. The grip is large, that's for sure. I'm interested to see the G40 with the longlside. That should be a decent cost effective pistol.
The Nighthawk Heinie Longlside is more the kind of pistol I expect you to be looking at but again, I don't think it is available in FDE.

The commercial 10mm rounds are easy to handle in the G20. I have reloaded a few rounds with starting loads but need to test them. I'll work my way up to full power loads to see how it shoots. I saw some Buffalo Bore ammo in WA state but I'm not willing to tempt fate by trying to buy it there. I have tons of brass so I just need to get loading. I also have a Lone Wolf .40 S&W barrel. I may add another 10mm barrel. I like the idea of getting one for the hard cast projectiles. I always try these variations but somehow, the paper doesn't care what I shoot at it. Now on pumpkin day, that's another matter. It's all good.

I've never shot a 10mm before but I can only imagine it would be quite a handful to become proficient with when using full power loads in a polymer handgun. Unless of course you're built like an ox and not sensitive to the recoil or developing a flinch.

Its a very snappy gun with full power loads but I wouldn't say it's difficult to use. My longslide Glock was a dream to shoot with the extra weight. I'd say it cut recoil by as much as 40%.

Here is a very old picture...

I had IRUNGUNs bring me in a few boxes to get acquainted with them and still have 2 unopened. I buy another few boxes when I'm in the US to carry in the wilds and shoot off whatever I have left before heading back here. The G20 does a very good job of taming that recoil as it is. Good times.

Also heard about the new 10mm P220's MSRP'd at $1422 & $1713 US for the hunt model. With our weak currency, the base Elite models will probably be $1600+ pistols witch is pretty steep for a P220.

I am a massive Sig fan, and I love my other P220s with the 5 inch barrels, so I must try the 10mm. As for reliability, Bruce Gray has been involved in the developement of the 10mm model, so that is encouraging.

something actual like a Glock seem a less expensive way to go... JP.

For the price it's hard to beat JP.

I was quite surprised how manageable it was. My wrist is a bit buggered from several injuries over the years. I was pretty apprehensive first time I shot it, but it was no problem.

Best ten shot group I've fired to date was from my G-20. I'm not one of those Neanderthals who dismiss recoil, if it hurt I'd say as much.

:d I wouldn't be mistaking it for my 639 though...

I'm not too worried either. Lots of work has gone into this one. I've had a couple and an all steel p220 is as solid as any 1911 platform, probably more than many.

Oh. There's an idea! Thanks for that. I have a lot of brass though so I *should* just get at it and load them like they're meant to be loaded.

What loads are you guys running in the G20? Have only run factory ammo through mine, but got lots of brass and ready to do some loading. Cast from Bullet Barn, or jacketed.

^180 FMJ over 11grns of blue dot has been my staple load for years. Lots of flash and it runs a little under 1300fps out of my g20. My boutique loads include 135grn pills over 800x. Nearly 1700fps out of the Glock. Over 1800fps with a 6"bbl!

Campro bullets have very thick plating. My local distributor says they are closer to true jacketed bullets than most plated bullets and my experience backs that up. I currently use them with a near max load of Longshot with no issues.

Thanks for the info. Going to order some. I am currently using Campro in my 9mm and like them. Do you find any feeding issues with the TC version?
