Actually, my current 358 is a SS 700 BDL that Bevan King did for me, but I have had a 358 in a 760 in times past. I left it in the Yukon on my first trip there with a fellow who wanted it for his son.

While I do have one 760 still, I do admit to spending a lot more time shooting bolt guns. Are you denying your love of pump action rifles?![]()
Now that's beginning to look a lot like my loading bench - 250 SpeerHCs have been a staple thru my decades of hunting fun. Never without them to load so far.

I've used them a fair amount in several cartridges and never had a problem with them.
Unless the OP's 8x57 just hates them for some reason, I see no reason to look for a fancier and much more expensive bullet.
They shoot really well in my 8X57 and 8mm/06.
Killed my first Moose in 1963 with an 8X57 loaded with the 170 Speer, one shot, one nice Moose...
Not quite "Euro Fudd" as a 9.3. I see it more as a "New World Fudd".Fuddgasm
Everyone knows that the pre-64 moose are not the same as the post-64 versions.
