Of course - everyone knows it is a universal truth.

I just bought a box of 200gr hot core for my 8mm without knowing how they performed. Got them for moose next fall and found the price very down to earth. Anybody uses them. Comments, experiences, pictures? I know there is a lot of super hi tech bullets out there. But do HC works and anyway i m more on the classic side. Thanks.
Everyone knows that the pre-64 moose are not the same as the post-64 versions.
Truth be told. Post-64 Model 94's will not kill Moose reliably, and the Pre-64's did routinely.
The 235gr .375 has poor sectional density along with a large for North America frontal area. That bullet was probably designed for something much smaller than an elk. It would probably work like thunder on a deer though.Likely the only bullet I've had completely fail to do what I hoped, (235gr in .375 H&H), I was pretty disappointed in its performance and would be the closest thing to a "bullet failure" I can think of witnessing. With all the good experiences here, I'm hoping it was a one off and related to the relatively short and squat 235gr .375 bullets. The penetration was abysmal, at least on small horse size game, bullet fell apart, and it barely did the job in a timely fashion. I avoid them from that one experience, though I found them accurate. I've had good luck with other plain cup and cores that friends haven't been impressed with, so it's all a bit hit and miss, forgive the pun. Likely could shoot a thousand more and have no issues, but it sure didn't work for me like I hoped.
Anyone know if the 235gr was designed for the .375 Win? I doubt it, given the classic H&H weight, but it sure acted like it was in the wrong case.
