Announcing: Stag Arms Stag-10 CDN Rifle - 6.5CM - Non-Restricted Canada

It don’t work out to 20 or 25 FPS per each individual inch. It’s an overall percentage.

It could be as low as 8 FPS at one increment, then 19 at the next.

I lost 93 FPS going from 24 to 19.
So an average 18.5 FPS

My biggest lost was going from 22 to 23
30 FPS.

Least was 24 to 23 . 8 FPS

With the 6.5 and 142SMKs, the velocity difference works out to a change in elevation of 3 1/2 minutes and a windage change of about a half minute (10mph at 90 degrees) at 1000m.
For most shooters, that would be irrelevant. For PRS it could be important.
My long barrelled bolt action .260 (139 Scenars @2860) needs 10 minutes less elevation at 1000 than the 19" 6.5CM - 31 minutes vs 40.9 - and is much better in the wind.

So at those distances the extra inches are important.
For myself, I can’t see shooting past 500 yards .
Therefore, I think my 20 inch barrel will do fine.
At least I hope so:)

If you're actually looking for LR rifle then the 6.5 Creedmore is a good cartridge. OTOH if I were looking for another LR rifle the AR10 platform wouldn't be on my top 10 list. I understand the 6.5Creedmore is very fashionable and that everything chambered in it is selling like hotcakes, so I expect that's the reason the 6.5C is offered before the .308/7.62x51 version. But it has negative appeal to me.

I have no reason to buy an AR10 for a long range shooting but I would love an AR10 rifle for regular rifle stuff. So I will wait for the 308 version.

If anybody has a 6.5 in one of these what size of groups are you getting.

I don't think anyone actually has one yet in Canada. They have been pre-ordered and now they are gone from the website??? Are they sold out, or are changes being made to the 6.5 rifle listings? ARMSEAST? ***Resolved. Spoke with ARMSEAST on the phone***

Very tempted here but i don't really need it. But it is AR10 NR in 308 with 18.5" barrel? Almost like a unicorn. Decision decision. ....
