Announcing: Stag Arms Stag-10 CDN Rifle - 6.5CM - Non-Restricted Canada

I don't think anyone actually has one yet in Canada. They have been pre-ordered and now they are gone from the website??? Are they sold out, or are changed being made to the 6.5 rifle listings? ARMSEAST? ***Resolved. Spoke with ARMSEAST on the phone***

I was wondering the same thing. What was the resolution.

All good. I guess they are just updating the listing. Really looking forward to my new rifle. Everything I can dig up online seems excellent.

I read somewhere on CGN that Stag is likely using Ballistic Advantage Premium barrels on the Stag 10s for the 6.5. I am not able to confirm that, and I doubt Stag would reveal their barrel supplier. Here is a review of the BA 6.5 barrel that is fluted.

22" BA 6.5 Barrel is MSRP $315 USD: https://ballisticadvantage.com/22-inch-65-rifle-ss-premium-barrel.html#product-tabs

Read the reviews on the 22" BA barrel attached to the BA barrel link. All read 3/4 MOA, or better.

22" Stag Arms Barrel is MSRP $315 USD: https://www.stagarms.com/22-6-5-creedmoor-stainless-steel-heavy-barrel-rifle-length/

Read the review on the 22" Stag barrel attached to the link. Reads 1/2" from a bench.

Both barrels are bead blasted and marked in the same laser etched font "1/8 416R" with a .936 gas block journal. Both have the same profile and are listed as DPMS style, proof fired and MPI tested. The Stag barrel is bead blasted up the collar on the barrel extension, however the BA barrel is not.

Pending better information, I would guess that Stag Arms has contracted BA to produce their barrels to the same specs as their premium barrel but with a laser etched Stag Arms brand.

If it is the BA barrel, which I would agree with you it probably is, then I am pretty excited. If it performs I could see my RPR spending more time in the safe.

I wonder what glass to put on it...

Mine is getting a Nightforce 5.5-22x50, badger 20 MOA uni-mount, Atlas PRS bipod, and Geissele trigger and charging handle. It will be a 14 lbs loaded, i'm sure. Good for recoil and accuracy, but not great for packing around.

FYI, I will be EE'ing the stock trigger, grip and charging handle if anyone wants them for their builder kit.....(PM me).

Just out of curiosity I was reading the other threads on the 308. But for those of us that ordered the 6.5 already will these be arriving before the 308’s? Quite excited, but am confused as to when the delivery date is?

Hey all. I have always wanted a NR AR for hunting and targets and finally there is one on the market.

But if someone could take the time to answer a few questions that would be great:

What does it take to build your own AR? Is it worth it? Or better to buy them complete?

Is this similar setup where you can have multiple uppers. I want a 6.5 but love a .308. Are these interchangeable?

I am very excited to learn more.

Thanks alot Arms East!

If you’re happy with what they offer it’s better to buy a factory rifle. If you start buying parts to build pretty much the exact rifle it becomes a false economy.

6.5 creedmoor and 308 use the same bolt, just need a different barrel. Might need different spring/buffer, not sure on that

Anyone able to touch on the whether or not you can use the same spring and buffer for 6.5 and .308?
