All the discussion about the 9.3X62 just got to me, so we headed out for just one day on a river trip for moose. It was the last day of moose hunting season yesterday, the 31st, but we found this guy out for a stroll.
A single 270 gr Matrix right behind the shoulder did the trick just fine. One shot at about 60 yd, and he was down for the count.
His head is all scarred up and lips were torn from days gone by. Really old bear, some of the teeth are worn to the gums.
How would you like to have these toenails to trim?
Made coffee for my sweetheart early this morning.....
...and breakfast, too!
