Congrats Ted! That is a very nice bear, and I too love reading your stories. I am also happy for you that you could spend that time with your wife.
Thanks! You and your gal get out this fall yet?

beauty bear. awsome story and pics too. im lucky enough to have a fiancee who loves to come along with me and enjoys the outdoors as much as i do too.
I just got to ask. How did you get the bear in the canoe?
Rolled him onto a tarp, and tugged about 200 yd to the canoe, ............. a little at a time.

WHAT A BEAR!
Looks like a great trip. Good thing there was snow to assist in the recovery.
Great story and pics!!! Did you have a heat source for the tent???
I was always under the impression that grizzly wasn't eaten and told Hannah the same while showing her your pics.i was leaving town the next day, so they skinned the bear for me, and I delivered the meat to several homes before I left. We have one bag for ourselves, which we will process when I get back.

the special delivery was great for us.I really wanted to take him back whole if possible. There would have been no way without the snow.
It took five of us to lift him out of the canoe at Tutshi Tanning & Taxidermy. I was leaving town the next day, so they skinned the bear for me, and I delivered the meat to several homes before I left. We have one bag for ourselves, which we will process when I get back.
