Another 9.3X62 bear, now with recovered bullet picture.

Ours is a 22 ft Teslin Freighter, made in 1971. It is serial number 4.

I have carried many tons of game, building materials, equipment, etc, many thousands of miles in it. We really enjoy using it for fishing and on hunting trips.

Here's a nice bull my wife got a few years back.

Ted,

Your wife could give lots of hunters a lesson on how to shoot moose properly; and save on the packing!

Recovered 9.3 Matrix bullet picture.

Did you recover the bullet Ted? I'd be interested in seeing what it looked like.

One of the guys we gave some of the meat to picked up some sausage today, and guess what was found in the far shoulder?

Original weight 270 gr, recovered bullet weighs 244.2 gr. -- 90% weight retention! Broke the near shoulder, smashed up two vertebrae and lodged in far shoulder.

Not too shabby,
Ted

Great pics and nice bear. Glad that you have a little woman that likes getting out in the wilds and into the action. If mine seen a bear, there would be footprints all over whatever was in her path of escape.

Thanks for the post and the pics. Congratulations on your bear and more importantly your spouse.

That's awesome expansion...those matrix bullets are very good, I also harvested an animal with one this year but I have no idea what the bullet looks like, I wasnt' lucky enough to have buried it into a big animal like Ted.

Thanks, to all of you for the kind words, and to Marshal for the fine bullets.

Here's a picture from the other side, the recovered bullet expanded to three times its original diameter!

Just figured it out, the recovered bullet expanded to three times its diameter and retained a bit more than 90% of its original weight!

Thanks for posting the bullet updates Ted. I am going to have to pick up some for a .270 WCF that should be back from a weight watchers program sometime in the new year.
