Felt like re-doing an SKS, maintaining the all great features of these beautiful rifles. I didn't make any major changes to it, just tried to make it classic, functional and attractive.
The big job was removing all the oils from the wood, so it would take the black stain evenly. This stock was literally soaked all the way through and it took many days, many, many hours to remove it.
Secondly I detailed all the metal including polishing the trigger, bolt and action. This thing is crisp and buttery. Also narrowed the front post and black-blued every bit of metal.
