Another custom 6xc!

Finally got my F-O/fun gun build done so now hopefully I'll be able to keep up to all you 6BR shooters .

Here's the specs.
Trued up 700 action.Caliber 6XC.
Bartlein 5R Barrel. Finished at 28 inches.1/7.5 twist.
Custom mag system by my good buddy GrensVegter.
McMillan A5 stock in GAP camo.
Warne 20moa rail.
Leupy Mark 4.
Finished with duracoat.

Now I just have to figure out what bipod I want to stick on it.

I haven't had time to put any rounds through it so I'll give a range report once I get some ammo built.

And I'll be testing it here!

Going to use it for both!I hope to shoot some F Class with it.

I've got 850m to play with there.In that pick I have a bunch of 8 inch steel discs at the very end.That road is the only way in and out so as long as you block it off your good to go.

Does 6XC feed well ?

Does 6XC feed well through a magazine?
I'm looking for something better than 243Win and 6XC is it if it feed using a 308 magazine.

The duracoat is great!I have an oven and bake it on myself.Awesome stuff.
The 6xc feeds very well from 308 mags.This one is using highly modified M14 mags.
Love to break it in at the Farky this year however its going to be a busy fall with a new kid and a bison hunt to deal with!
I'll be very lucky to get to any more matches this year unfortunately.

I had no idea that the 6xc firing the 115 DTacs has more energy at 1000m than a 308 shooting 175s!

What kind of brass are you using?

Right now I have about 400 rds of Norma brass.Its what I use in my .308 and it is very consistant.

Ya it's good stuff eh. The tubb brass is pretty high quality as well, but I really really like the uniformity of Norma brass. Mostly in the neck.

Too bad they're M14 mags... the 5 round rule sucks.

I think the 6XC is the best cartridge out there for the 115-117 grain bullets. Seeing all this attention on that cartridge makes me regret meeting AKD
