Looks good but it has one fatal flaw that would keep it out of my gun safe ----- it says ------- Made In China .

Was yours sharp along the edges? I had to stone all my edges down because I cut my hands up. Not a full on melting or dehorning, just took all the sharpness of the edges. I will reblue it once I get the new parts installed on it.
Pics to follow.

Steve your Dad has a real shooter there. How good/bad are the sights? My Dlask/Nork is a great shooter as is my Commander. May have to get one of the Police Models just because.

Never judge a book by it's cover. This gun shoots every bit as good as my TLE II and several other "BIG NAME" 1911's I have shot.
Actually I don't care if it drives tacks at 50 yards and cleans itself and whistles dixie ------ if it isn't made in North America I can and will do without it. That is the problem here today in Canada/USA - too many people are buying offshore and not supporting local industry and we are losing jobs.

How many products does Canada actually manufacture? Are you just all fired up over the auto industry? The company that sold the gun to Steve was Canadian. It would impossible to buy everything you need/want if it had to be manufactured in Canada. Even if you included the States you would be hard pressed to pull it off.
I don't know ---everything in my gun cabinet is made in North America as is almost everything in my house. I am not a snob as Handgunner suggests but I do think that if we were to buy North American we would have a lot less unemployment and a hell of a lot less problems..

Ok, you keep telling yourself that.........!
Do you have kids, do they have toys?
Do you have a video game system?
Do you have an audio system?
Do you have a TV/VCR/DVD player?
Do you have a car?
Do you have a cell phone?
Do you have an MP3 player?
Do you have cloths?
Shall I continue.............!
Wake up and smell the coffee, oh yah, the coffee maker is probably Chinese as well as is the cup you drink it from.
What the industry has lost is not coming back no matter what you think, and since we have retailers importing these items for resale, well I do think that would be supporting Canadian Business don't you?
Hold on, what about the very computer you are typing this with, offshore I bet...............!
