I took the 1827F out today to see what I could do with it at 50m, along with some RWS ammo. Unfortunately, I don't know how to post pictures and I didn't bring my calipers, but I can tell you there is a significant difference when shooting the RWS over even the FGMM.
I started out shooting the CCI Standard Velocity to get the groups close to centre since I had only shot the rifle at 25m previously. The groups were about 1.5"-2" on average with the odd flier that I figured was more due to my inexperience with the aperture sight. Switching to FGMM tightened things up to about 3/4"-1", and the POI didn't shift.
I then tried some RWS R50 and R100. Wow! What a noticeable difference. When I walked back from checking the targets, I actually felt like I knew what I was doing. I could net tell any difference in the group sizes between the R50 and R100 at the 50m mark so I plan to try things at 100m and see what happens. (I'll bring calipers and try and figure out the photo thing).
I would have stayed all day shooting, but I was getting cold and my finger was starting to get chewed up a little from the knurling on the bolt handle.
I should add that I was shooting prone and it was +1C outside with negligible wind.
