I got the 4140 steel and machined the new striker, heat treated and polished it. There's not much more compression that could be added to the spring, so penetration improvement is minimal, less than a thou. There's an improvement in ES and Std Dev. I had 30 rounds of the troublesome RWS Rifle match left and when I tested it out, I only got one misfire that fired with a second hit just recocking the bolt. No issues with other ammo. More power to the spring is definitely the correct course of action, though I'm not sure it's critically necessary to prioritize right now since it was just that one lot of RWS that was problematic and that seems to be nearly resolved now.
