Just for fun if I'm in a place like Subway and the person there just looks miserable I'll ask them if they make anything with penguin and then let the wackyness ensue...
Hey, does anyone know if there are game laws for Antartica and are Emperor Penguins protected? I'm down to 2 continents not yet hunted and would love to club (sorry harvest) a penguin in Antartica just to have hunted all 7 continents. For those of you aghast at such a thought, it's a"bucket list" thing, besides how cool would a life mount Emperor be?
Meh. You can probably source an actual Penguin from one of the many zoos that are culling out some of their flocks. They sell off lions and tigers every now and then, too.
I knew of one taxidermist that was buying them, he was the one that explained it succinctly. Not every animal is suitable for the breeding program, and they gotta choose sometimes.
But anyway, you could probably get one, and have it stuffed.
Once it's in the trophy room, you can do what every hunter does. Make up lies!

Technically 3, but I've already booked Australia/New Z dates not final yet but will happen in the next 18 mo. After that Cappybara, Buff and whatever else in South America which is the final continent. Then Penguins?
You don't need to go all the way to Antartica to find penquins.
They can be found in South Africa.
Don't know if/when the hunting season is,
but I hear they are more tender here.

If your display doesn't have a stuffed man, it's a fail. Hunt him, and have him mounted in a fierce pose.
going slightly off topic, wasn't there a restaurant in alberta that was busted with a freezer full of coyotes a few years back?
you may be SOL
canada does have the "Antarctic Environmental Protection Act" which says":
12. (1) Except in accordance with a permit or under the written authorization of another Party to the Protocol, no Canadian shall, in the Antarctic,
(a) kill, injure, capture, handle or molest a native mammal or native bird
there is a permiting procedure, but i'm doubtful as to you success.
my gut tells me the best chance is with the argentines or chileans.
Already hunted SA, penguins not the issue, actually hunting the seventh continent the goal. "Bucket list" says I wish to hunt from pole to pole and all continents in between. I have the polarbear, muskox and walrus frrom my end of the world, now it's the other end..........
Too far off topic and somewhat inappropriate IMHO !!!
What would you say to going for a Sasquatch hunt with me ?
You just never know when one of them will show up or where...![]()
Yep.
.
Back on topic. A leopard seal and a couple penguins would make a great centrepiece diorama for the trophy room. Maybe a couple penguins pushing one off a cliff to the waiting seal?
