Antartica

h*ll do it the Canadian way and club the seals to. cats ya you kind of need something with some reach. but from what i've read/watched on tv about leapord seals you shouldn't have to much trouble getting close to them, getting away from them might be different though. Heard that they've chased people across the ice for long distances:D
that being said i'm in. think a louisville slugger would suffice as a club?

NO!! If we're doing this, it has to be CANADIAN- only lengths of hockey stick will be accepted on this journey.:D:D

slugger

ALLS London has a point, Canadian all the way. If you're worried about the leopards you can bring a sawed off goalie stick but not no "made in china" one, it's got to be a Sherbrooke. I think I'm going to mount a spear head in the end of my Sherbrooke, cause I ain't in good enough shape to be runnin' from no seal.

Now there's a mental image, a bunch of big tough Canadian hunters being chased all over he!! by a lousy seal. Just have to hope no tourist videos it and puts it on you-tube.

Has Rick Mercer taught you nothing?... The only true Canadian way to hunt leopard seal is to pelt them to death with Timbits....

I would also like to add that if you wish to use canadian lumber for the kill that a Guy Lafleur style straight blade Titan is as acceptable as, or even perhaps better than, a Sherbrooke....

Haven't played hockey in over 40 yrs, Sherbrooke was the only make I could remember, but if Guy's Titan is made in Can, it's in!!!

F....K legal, think of the story value, what's a few months in the joint compared to being one of, only six people to have hunted Antartica in modern history, with a club.

Who's in?

I've done some more research, flying down in my aircraft is not feasible. Too many regs re firearms in SA countries, I would need to land in for fuel.
Have to fly commercial to Falklands, then charter to Antarctica. Need to know who's in to determine charter jet from Falklands.
Actually this is better 'cause I can drink all the way down.
Schedule is as follows;

Leave Falklands 07:00 hrs Jan 15 2013, fly to Antarctica Kill and club as required. (sorry I mean harvest)
Return leaving Antarctica 08:00 hrs Jan 17 2013 to Falklands.

How about South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands? I believe that they are technically part of Antarctica, and have lots of Penguins. They are under British jurisdiction but I am not sure if they do allow hunting.
