Antique Photos--Post what you got

Danyboy, great job and a very nice rifle indeed!

You can get a replacement rear "triggerguard" swivel from loyalist arms, I used one of their brown bess real swivels on my martini henry and it works like a charm and really looks right!

Thanks . Also finished de-rusting, cleaning and blueing an 8mm Berthier Balle 'D' mousqueton.

Martini henry, and kit

Heres my Martini with her accessories, Now fully restored to my liking.
The bayonet came from IMA I specified my martini was a british one, the bayonet has no nepali markings on it, fits like it was issued to the rifle and has all the Proper british markings.
The strap aswell came from IMA, and after a heavy cleaning and oiling really does the trick no dry rot at all!

I really enjoy this rifle, its a great shooter and beautiful, it makes me happy seeing a project to completion!

here's the latest addition to team fugly blaster :D
S&W first model DA in 44Russian with a 6" barrel. She looks rough but she's smooth, not the purtiest iron but shoots really well.Descent bore, smooth double action, crisp hammer fall.I bought it as a parts gun and had to make a bunch of pieces for it.I carved the grips from an old deer antler to match the iron, they're only yellow in the picture(piss poor camera :( ).
After all the hours I put into this iron I have a new found respect for S&W.

here's an update of my 1861 Remington Army in 44spl/Russian.(more bad pics :( )
The front sight is a big improvement over the other one.The ejector works like a charm and makes this iron real user friendly.Gonna carve a set of antler grips for it too when I get time.

Hey BIG improvement!!! i love that Ejector.
also you did great on that S&W if thats the parts gun i think it was you did really good getting it up to shootin class iron.
The deer grips look EX a set on the Remmy like that would make it look even better must be hard to find antler that wide might need some elk eh.
Great work.

thanks dingus,
yup that's the one yer thinkin of :D
I didn't have any luck getting parts from that guy so I had to build most of them.
I have elk ;) ... and moose...but where I live the whitetails are bigger than dogs so the racks are good :p

Not sure this would be considered "antique" or not, but it sure qualifies for "old and different." This is the Quackenbush Junior Safety Rifle, 22rf single shot. They were only made from 1899 to 1908. Had an 18" barrel and weighed in at 4 lbs. Neat little boys rifle!

It would not qualify as antique here in Kanuckastan, but may in the US.
Neat looking gun. Reminds me of something that would be parachuted with supplies for freedom fighters . Guess the metal stock looks like a sten/grease gun. That stock is forward thinking for a turn of the century gun.

Here's my antiques - I've since gotten a cleaning rod for the Martini Henry. I also have a couple of Sniders on the way I'll post when they arrive.
