Haven't posted anything to this thread in a while. Here is an interesting gun that I recently picked up. This heavy barrel Target Rifle has a 33" barrel in .62 caliber. The barrel is 1 7/8" across the flats. It also has double set triggers. The rifle is equipped with 36" long Malcolm scope that has magnification. It has false muzzle and bullet starter. The complete package weights in at 27Lbs. The rifle is in amazing condition with very nice bore with sharp rifling and very tight action. Oh I forgot to mention the barrel is stamped S. Hawken St Louis
Yes it's a very nice gun and I am happy to be it's caretaker for a while. It's really surprising that there is still stuff like this to found in Canada.
Considering that we still hear occasionally about guys letting off a round with their boresighter still in place, the gizmo to block the scope view when the false muzzle is on is a really neat touch.
A beautiful rifle.

Swiss model 1882 service revolver
Based on the serial number, this revolver was part of a batch of 100 revolvers that was delivered to the KMV in Bern on Thursday, October 3, 1895.
7.5x33R handloads:
3.3 grains IMR Trail Boss, deep seated .314" H&N 100 grain LWC, full length 32-20 WCF Starline brass resized in a 30 Carbine die, bullet seated with a 30 Luger die -- approx. 900 fps (max load)
Nice photos. You know I'm sure, but other folks might be interested: I was just reading a bit about Hawken and if correct, your rifle was made between 1849 and 1861. Just in time for you-know-what!
