Is there a thread for antique photos at all? I would love to see all of the antiques out there as well as post my own pics as soon as my ratty old antique revovler gets here from the USA.

EDIT- I figured I would change the title to encourage you fine antique owners to post your pics in the hope that this might get stickied

Well here is a photo to get the ball rolling on a new title

The gun is a 16 guage pinfire made in Denmark. I made up shells using a lathe turned base and expanded 1/2" copper water pipe.

Hey Peckerwood, what did you order? And are you running into any problems yet?
I have a few and a bid in on one in the US now. I have not tried to bring one across the border yet though.

I ordered a Colt Thunderer in 41LC...double action revolver. The guy I bought it from was JPETTITANTIQUES on gunbroker.com . Good dealer, and he already gave me positive feedback.

As far as Customs is concerned We seem to have a really good Chief Border Inspector up here. Talk to Dan Robitaille, he is pro-firearm and said he would do whatever he could within the confines of the law to assist me in making sure it arrives...really good guy.

Nice to know, I was just looking at one of those on one of the auctions. That or the SAA or the 1895 in .41 Colt seems perfect. I have six antique pistols and revolvers now. I have shot all but the one that arrived today and that is soon. So far, so good.
Thanks for the info

Should be fun shooting. I also thought that the hammer remington had an interesting lockup system with a split lump as I recall which must have made machining the hole for the round "underbolt" much faster than the traditional flat bar shaped one of most other guns

Canadian-marked (DC-diamond) Mark III Martini-Henry - the background is an 1889 photo of three Riflemen
of the Queen's Own Rifles, one of the few Canadian units who were ever issued Martini-Henry rifles ....

Belgian manufacture "purse revolver", 5 shot caliber 38 short Colt.
This is not antique in Canada due to caliber, but it is a black powder revolver manufactured sometime before 1893.
Mechanically perfect, finish 95%+-, very nice real ivory grips.
Hopefully I'll be shooting this next week.

Webley Mk II 455, antique status, and a good shooter.
