I have one of Bevan's 25cal bbl on a M700 257Roberts he built for me. It has been a very accurate and consistent rifle for years and is my favorite deer rifle.I shot this caliber from 1989- present. In 1995 I was looking for a gunsmith to build me a custom 25-06 barrel. I was fortunate enough to meet a gentleman (Bevan King) who was very supportive in teaching me how to build one myself. I wound up working with Bevan for about 5-6 years. We built a 25-06 barrel 26" long, and it shoots like a house on fire. I prefer to use 120 grain Nosler Partitions, but it also shoots the 115 grain Berger VLD's real tight!
Over the years that rifle has been responsible for the most bang/flops of any caliber I have used.
Wow thanks guys, I just thought I had a coyote/deer gun, but with the right pill I can take bear/moose? Thats quite the caliber. I am thinking of topping it off with a coyote scope..
3-9x40 Nikon Active Target (coyote special) or maybe 4x12 by the distance this thing covers. Not sure.

One of his in a 25-06 would only be better.
