any .410 shells in the country?

Tundra website not working................ 3 phone calls later they still can't figure it out .........the website worked this evening ? Limit 5 boxes which makes things expensive.

I bought a 410 over waiting for a 20ga after being told that ordering 410 ammo was no longer a problem. That was at Cranbook Canadian Tire... seems like they are the only ones not having a problem ordering. My 2 local shops haven't had 410 in stock for almost 2 years. I feel bad for the small sellers out here.
 
I got my shells... $20 for a box of 5... wow!?! Online, out-of-stock 410 shells usually list for about $25 for 25 shells, so about $1/shell.... I was expecting 25 shells, for about $40-50...$2/shell . Canadian tire has boxes of 5 shells for $20. Imho $4/shell is a lot. More expensive than a 12ga.

Canadian Tire needs to get out of selling ammo. Their markups are ridiculous. 10 or more years ago, they'd have great sales on shells and hunting cartridges. Lately though, darn near everything that isn't .22LR is over a $1 a round. It can sit on their shelves for all I care.

They still sell plenty where I am. I guess their prices are not too high for everyone.

I'm guessing each store must have the ability to set prices? The CanTire in Cranbrook is one of the best stocked gun/ammo stores around and their prices seem to be in line with everything else I've seen. When I was there a few weeks ago they even had a bunch of ammo and powder on sale. Maybe the boss-man from there (who is a forum member here) can chime in on how pricing works?

Also interested. Around here (Niagara) they are insane.
 
I've talked to CT managers and their take is that the ammo is for "convenience shoppers" that don't want to shop at 2-3 stores. NOT for 'stocking up' on ammo.
 
RE the 'stocking up', back in '21 I bought about 20boxes of 308 at local CT, about $30-40/box. I'd seen comments on CGN about prices rising in ON, etc, so I grabbed some 'good deals'. A month or so later it jumped up to $45+ minimum and up to $60s.
