Any 9.3mm (.366) hunters out there?

Here is IMO something a kind of unique/interesting. It's built on select 98er actions, 18.5" barrel and available among two other calibers in 9.3x62. They are being used in European drive hunts and in Nachsuche mostly while tracking wounded boar.

That looks like a nice little 9.3X57 I’m aware of. It drives 286 gr Normas well past 2200 fps. Thinks it’s a ‘62.

I'm putting a 9.3x62 together this summer, picked up a barrel from Tradex. I have a good selection of 98 mauser actions to choose from, should be a nice light rifle as the barrel doesn't have a lot of extra meat on it.

our blood dog handler in our hunting team had one in 9.3x62 with a specific blocking system that allowed to be always loaded. looking after wounded boar you needed it.

Who makes these and where can I find one?

9.3x57 Husky (aka Scandinavian Potato Cannon), 9.3x62 Sauer and Tikka.

Should see folks react when I do offhand pre-hunt shots at the range. The x62 is with Prvi 286gr make fro great practice.

Have a BRNO Stopper, over and under double barrel in 9.3 x 74R. Had a gunsmith make a weaver style rail and put a red dot sight on it. Perfect for driven hunts. Have shot lots of Speers and Barnes bullets in 286, 270 and 250 gr. Wonderful gun to shoot.

I have something 'somewhat' similar. Mine is a ZH-304 Brno, 7x57R/12ga. Plus, I have a set of skeet barrels for it as well.

 Sorry, didn't mean to sidetrack the thread .

For some reason I built a 9.3/375 Ruger a while ago. 23” Benchmark barrel, McMillan stock, in a Ruger MK2 stainless.
Shoots 250gr Barnes with RL 15 really well nearing 2900 FPS. But it hasn’t seen a hunting trip yet which is a shame. I’d like to take it to Africa one day.

You are more of a man than me! :d My 7 1/2 pound 9.3 x 62 is all I want. A Transition M70 with a Pac Nor stainless barrel in a Brown Precision stock, with a Leupold 6X36LR in super low DDs. Leeper did the metal work, Kendall the stock and metal Gunkoting.

250 ABs at 2650 ft./s are OK, the 286 NPs at 2475 ft./s make me bite down on my mouthguard a bit!

Sounds like a nice rifle Rick. And light too.
The 9.3/375 weighs a pound more than yours and has a fat decelerator pad on it. It’s not too bad to shoot. But I should refresh my memory on it.

Haven’t shot anything with mine yet....hoping to remedy that this fall. Like ricks rifle, it’ll wake you up in the morning.
