Any actual field reviews of the 110 round gsg drum mag?

did you guys see that blueline has posted a recall on the drums

Ya and they locked it!! Seems real fishy to me, they wont show the new model they claim they are getting made either, link doesnt work and its locked now also. Im sure this thread will get locked too.

Damn. I ejected about 5 bucks worth of those on the ground because they just wouldnt cycle. Picked most of them up and fed them through the norinco lever gun. It eats anything ;)
Now that its broken in some I might have to try again, but it seems to love the fed525, which are cheap and I have in abundance... With the speed that it reaches the unloaded state, perhaps bulk is the better choice anyway :)

The 40 grain target ones.

I had some issues with mine failing to feed. The bolt spring sometimes wont push hard enough to push the next round in the chamber, leaving me to manually push it. It has so much pressure on the round that the one being stripped actually dents and deforms the one under it, so when that one goes next, it wont fit in the chamber flush, causing light primer strikes. Did some research and found this thread http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=6&f=41&t=343923

Anyways, performed the procedure and seemed to help a lot, instead of happening to me every 3-4 rounds for the entire magazine(this was using Winchester m-22), it happened once or twice(using federal 525).
Maybe it was the ammo that was causing it, but it still does slightly dent the next round with the federal 525 when the magazine is fully loaded and there is a lot of spring pressure.

You should try my AM180 275 round drum. At $14 a pop, you can really burn though a lot of rounds fast. I bet I've turned my su22 barrel almost red.

No problems with mine apart from loading the damn thing. It can be awkward until you get the hang of it. I had to file both sides to make it fit the rifle. It is still a very tight fit.

Wonder if the blueline ones will come in this year, and if they will have an actual metal feed lips like the bc steel lips does.
