Beretta sells the Storm Pistol with an extended barrel for Canadians, Stoeger is the distributor - so any gunshop that deals with Stoeger (most do) can order one, if they import it. It'll be on their order sheets if it's available. That said, if you're looking for one other than you are, or want to, work for CBSA - they're pretty marginal guns, hence the number of agencies that have adopted them (1).
They imported the px4 D models it for CBSA. There were a couple that went to the public but that was it. That's what Nick told me when he was around.. I just purchased a S&W M&P 9mm range kit that is a DAO.
Though the M&P would probably work for him it's technically not a DA pistol. You have to rack the slide in order to shoot.
What's the difference? If you have a light strike (miss fire, bullet don't go boom) you can just pull the trigger again and attempt the shot again (with a DA pistol). With the M&P you would have to rack the slide to try again - though it will eject the round or show a jam or what not...
