When you say surplus ammunition I take it you mean corrosive$625 seems to be the best you're going to get.
I saw a few in the Ottawa area shops for around $650-$699 for Chinese/Russian SKS's. Still a decent deal for what you get, as long as you already have a supply of surplus ammo to shoot. That stuff is getting harder to find.
Buck how much do you have to spend to get free shipping ,and is that amount before tax or after !Tenda has Nor-Red for $270 = 10.80/box = 0.54/round. Buy a bit of something else to get the Free Shipping. No vendors are showing Surplus on hand. You May Find some at LGS if you're lucky, bu the prices will not be like in the Summer.
As I said, watch GP for local deals.

Do you recommend the Break Free to remove the possible corrosive contamination ?Yes.
Even the Red Box stuff is suspect from what I’m told.
Just get some BreakFree CLP from Cabelas/Bass Pro and you’ll be fine.
