Any decent scopes around $200???

Watch for the Cabelas branded scopes to go on sale. My buddy has one and it’s pretty Decent for the money. I think they go on sale regularly for like 40-50% off.All depends what you want to do. When we were younger my buddy had a cheap Bushnell 3x9 on his 30-06 that he bought brand new for around $100 I think. He was not gentle with his gun and it always held its zero and killed stuff just fine.

Haha the King of the Vortex haters club saying it would be perfect for the ops Swedish Mauser! So are you being dishonest or is the Vortex a good scope? Pretty sure your also not supposed to solicit on forums other than the EE!!
Yes, I am not a Vortex fan. I do not think they are a great scope, and I said it would be a good scope for his cheaper budget price range of $200.00.

My opinion is just that, my opinion. I ended up with this scope by purchasing a rifle I wanted and it came as a package. It's surplus to my needs, so it's being sold cheap.

I'm sorry this does not fit with your agenda of being a troll........:(

Sounds like the OP might have been better asking if there is any acceptable options for $200 rather then asking for descent.

The 10X Fixed Power Elites usually go for around $200 shipped used. Haven't seen one in the EE lately but they are out there.

Any of the older scopes made in japan will perform perfectly. Tasco, Bushnell, weaver all are fine scopes for a hunting rifle. They lack features but works very well, are clear and are fine for anyone hunting within regular distances (25-300m)

Also a used Bushnell dusk to dawn would be a nice scope for the money, less then $200

Going to second or third, Burris options. The E1 has decent glass, a drop down reticle that is etched into the glass. The older Fullfield 2 had a wire reticle which I have seen break.

The hidden gem of the Oder Burris E1 is the 4.5-14x as it had a parralax adjustment.

Yiu can find the E1 3-9x for $200 ( stoegers I think even has a sale).

As for the Discovery optics. I have a fair number of their optics. But I only buy their ED glass scopes. Decent glass and built for heavy calibre rifles. I generally avoid their non ED lineup.
