Any interest? Savage "Bush Carbine"

Rem MoHawk 600 - I love mine, light enough to carry around in the bush - with the short barrel the .308 is pretty loud.

I'd just like to point out that 1/3 of the population is left-eye dominant, so if this ever does get off the ground...

We are looking to do a custom run of Savage rifles in 308 with 18.5" barrels.

Which is of more interest:

Stevens 200 w/"Tenifer" finish ~$399
Savage 11FCNS with detach mag and accutrigger w/"Tenifer" finish ~$599

These will be completely factory guns.

Any other suggestions for options are welcome

Savage with detach mag, accu trigger and iron sights

I'd put money down for the Savage with detach mag, accu trigger and iron sights. I am currently looking for such a rifle for yotes and deer

Me too. .308 is good. Stainless? Whatever gets you enough orders to make it happen... Have a Rem Mohawk which is pretty cool too but I'm a Savage.

Yeah this would give the Gunsite scout a good run for its money. Pretty hard to outrun a scout though, unless you had like a horse or something.

The model 11 is well worth the extra $.... i own 2 stevens but had to put Timmney triggers on both, the stevens factory trigger is really bad. I own several savages with the accutrigger and they are well worth the extra bucks. PS. one of the stevens [in /06] is more accurate than most $1000 dollar rifles that i have bought, at least after the new trigger. I guess the bottom line is I have never owned a savage from the FTR to the steve that did not shoot well.

Any progress? IMO 16" barrel more ideal for a scout. 10 round mag too. Would put a deposit on that over the Ruger gunsite scout any day ...
