Any interest? Savage "Bush Carbine"

I have seen detachable mags as an after -market accessory. Could we get that option too? how extra for that option?

lefty, .223, savage 10 camo stock, 18.5 with scout mount. i will pay so fast my credit card wont know what happened.

The 10-camo stock ain't gonna happen. I called the Savage shop, and after a little back-and-forth bantering:

A) It doesn't exist in left-hand. RH only.

and

B) All of the LH rifles we could ever custom-order it, still wouldn't make it worthwhile for them.

Remington!!! I believe the idea is to keep the costs DOWN, not go up. lol

Your not going to get a Remmy 700 at $400. I believe the the Savage/Stevens has better QT anyways.

Needs a flash-hider like a Jungle Carbine to direct the blast away from the shooter.

How many rounds in the mag?

I'd like a long throw 200 in a 10 or 12 inch barrel, something I could compare to a contender with rifle stock, without the bolt thrust issue. Better yet, I'd like a run of 10 or 12 inch savage barrels in .308. That, with ironsights would be a brush buster long gun. I'm in a wheelchair, and carry the gun sideways on my lap, and it would fit perfectly and not snare on miscellaneous; and I know others could use a genuinely short brush gun, and I'm still waiting for that 12 inch barrelled .22 lr bolt gun that's been talked about but not brought in.

Ok, is this in the works or is it vaporware? I'd love to have one for hunting season. Any updates at all?

I'm going to go ahead and cross post with the other thread to ratchet up the pressure :)

Slap my pee pee if you want to, but this seems like the perfect bush gun for me!
